and former puny weakling that couldn’t bench his own weight
Have you ever wondered how some guys you know have such an easy time adding pounds to their bench press? And they can add this new power in just a matter of weeks without special equipment or training tools.
If so, I’d like to show you how.
But first, I’d like to share with you 4 Big Bench Press Secrets I’ve stumbled upon that will help you pack on strong dense muscle fast….secrets that have taken me many years to figure out with the help of some old school strength freaks that I’ll tell you about later on.
You’ll need to pay very close attention though because these 4 Insider Tips could be the difference between blasting through your current bench press rut, or continuing the battle against bad genetics and long arms that make it so difficult to get stronger and gain muscle.
This will probably be counter-intuitive but it’s vitally important. When you are performing max-effort work you actually want to hold your breath during the lift. The reason for this is simple; it makes your body much more stable and tight.
Fill your stomach with air before you un-rack the bar and hold the air until the lift is completed. It will take practice but try to fill your belly with air rather than your chest.
Retracting your shoulder blades will shorten the distance the bar has to travel. By reducing the range of motion you can lift more weight.
Here’s how you do it….Picture yourself doing a cable row. At the end of the movement you pull your shoulder blades back and squeeze your scapulas together right?
Start the bench press movement in this same manner just as the picture below demonstrates.
If you want to bench press more you have to focus on all the muscle groups involved.
When you start the lift you are primarily using your chest muscles, but after a few inches the triceps kick-in so they are going to need assistance work as well.
And please don’t forget about your back. Your lats serve as a shelf and give you a more stable base to push from. Not to mention they stabilize the weight on the way down (which is half the lift).
Even your legs, grip and biceps are involved in the bench press so you need assistance work for all these muscle groups.
When I was a freshman in high school I couldn’t even bench press 135 lbs. Today I’m not a world record holder or anything but I’m proud to say I’ve put up 450 lbs and over 600 pounds with a shirt.
How did I do it? I studied other successful bench monsters and I copied them!
It’s pretty simple actually. If you want to get results learn from those who have already had success. Learning from others is the most important part of getting out of your old routine… the routine that isn’t getting you the results you want.
That’s why I’d like to introduce to you two of the men that have been instrumental in my own bench press success.
First there’s Ted Arcidi who In 1985 shocked the power lifting world by becoming the first person to officially bench press 705.5 lbs.
The other beast of a man is Ken Lain who had a Record Breaking Crusade in the Bench Press becoming the first man to set all time world record (bench press) lifts in the three heaviest weight classes: 242-pounds, 275-pounds and super heavyweight.
With the Bench Press Power Pack you’ll be able to gain 25lbs or more on your bench press while building a shirt-ripping chest. I want you to have it today for only $19.95 ($30 OFF the regular price)
